PENTA have won the grand final of the Winter edition of ESL's Meisterschaft tournament over KILLERFI
PENTA have won the grand final of the Winter edition of ESL's Meisterschaft tournament over KILLERFISH (17-19 on de_dust2, 16-8 on de_cbble, and 16-10 on de_cache).
ESL's Meisterschaft tournaments provide a chance for German speaking teams to duel it out and find a regional champion, with four teams qualifying after five online cups give teams a season to gain points.
With mousesports, the winner of the ESL Meisterschaft Summer edition, choosing not to take part in the Winter edition, it was ultimately PENTA, BLUEJAYS, KILLERFISH, and Planetkey who qualified for the offline finals taking place at the TakeTV studio in Krefeld, Germany.

It was then PENTA and KILLERFISH who advanced to the grand final of the single-elimination, best-of-three event by defeating Planetkey and BLUEJAYS, respectively.
The grand final itself saw KILLERFISH grind out the first map (de_dust2) in overtime with a score of 19-17. However, with de_cbble up next in the rotation, PENTA resorted to superior tactical play and took the second map 16-8.
As de_cache was the decider, it was PENTA who powered ahead to a 15-9 scoreline. On the match point round, a strange moment took place when Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend won a one-versus-one and had effectively won the game, but an overenthusiastic manager made him accidentally stop defusing and lose the round.
However, PENTA rallied the round afterward and closed the map out 16-10, winning the ESL Meisterschaft Winter edition.
